3 works of chosen designer

Millennium Tower, Tokyo

At 840m, the proposed Millennium Tower will be almost twice the height of Sears Tower, currently the world's tallest building. It will resemble a small township, with a resident population of 50000 and the mixture of work and leisure activities.

Third London Airport, Stansted

Foster Associates were first commissioned in 1981, but their brief grew steadily to encompass a British Rail station, stations for the tracked transit system, two satellites and ancillary buildings as well as the terminal itself and the masterplan for the terminal zone. This is important, because modern air journeys do not begin or end with terminals, even though the Stansted building is one of Foster Associates' most elegant and convincing structures.

Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Headquarters

On a site of nearly 5000 square metres strategically located at the head of Statue Square in the Central District, this tower rises to a total height of 178.8 meters, with forty-sven stories above the ground plaza and four levels below ground.
